From Ferrara's Technopole to R2B: Building the Future of Innovation
29 July 2025
The Ferrara Technopole took part in the 2025 edition of R2B – Research to Business, the international exhibition dedicated to industrial research and skills for innovation.
Many representatives of the Ferrara Technopole and related laboratories were present at the various stands and as speakers at interesting events.
The event, which took place on 25 and 26 June at BolognaFiere, is a strategic reference point for companies, research bodies, institutions, and start-ups, offering a unique platform for building new collaborations and promoting high-impact, sustainable technological solutions.
Within the exhibition area of the Emilia-Romagna Technology Park Network, coordinated by ART-ER, the Ferrara Technology Park was present with a joint stand.
This structured participation underlines the Technology Park's ongoing commitment to promoting innovation projects, facilitating technology transfer, and enhancing scientific expertise at the service of the regional production system, in synergy with the entire network of 12 regional Technology Parks.
Attending R2B is not just a showcase, but a real opportunity to create new synergies and support business growth.
The two days offered numerous opportunities for reflection and discussion. In particular, on the afternoon of Thursday, 26 June, within the Innovation Lab, the Technopoles were the protagonists of a meeting dedicated to the evolution of their management models, to strengthen the Network's ability to respond effectively to companies' demands for innovation.
This forum addressed the evolution of technological infrastructure models supporting research and innovation through presentations focusing on concrete experiences and strategies for the future.
The regional technology parks did an excellent job of working together to present to the experts the different ways in which the managing entities carry out their mission:
Massimo Cinini, for the management models of the Ferrara Technology Park Network, also on behalf of the Modena Technology Park and the Forlì-Cesena Technology Park;
Antonio Conversano, for the business models of the Piacenza Technology Park, LEAP, also on behalf of the Reggio Emilia Technology Park, the Bologna-Ozzano “Rita Levi-Montalcini” Technology Park, and the Ravenna Technology Park;
Benedetta Cesare, for the technology transfer models of the Piacenza MUSP Technology Park, also representing the Bologna CNR Technology Park, the Parma Technology Park, and the Rimini Technology Park.
In this dynamic context, the Ferrara Technology Park plays an active and qualified role, bringing to the debate its vast experience gained over years of activity in the area. The Technology Park stands out in particular for its concrete support to businesses, start-ups, and research centres in the key processes of digitalisation, sustainability, and industrial innovation.
Thanks to its advanced infrastructure and specialist skills, the Ferrara Technopole confirms its position as a regional and national reference point for technology transfer, facilitating access to excellent equipment and know-how. Its active participation in the workshop and presence at the stand reaffirm its role as a facilitator between research and the market.
With its participation in R2B 2025, the Ferrara Technology Park has strengthened its commitment to innovation. The event was a valuable opportunity to promote strategic synergies, expand connections at the European level, and launch new high-tech projects.
