On June 16th 2026, the Technopole of Ferrara will host the "Innovative NVH Methods for Industry 4.0" Workshop, a day dedicated to the latest innovations in vibro-acoustics, advanced diagnostics, and mechanical system dynamics.

The initiative aims to provide a forum for students, recent graduates, industry professionals, company technicians, business representatives, and academic staff to meet and discuss ideas, fostering the sharing of expertise and the development of new collaborations between research and industry.

The workshop will address some of the most current and strategic issues for the development of Industry 4.0, including:

·       NVH in the automotive industry

·       Vibration prognostics and diagnostics

·       Gear transmission dynamics

·       NVH of industrial machinery

·       Multibody dynamics

·       Metamaterials for NVH

·       Instrumentation for NVH measurements

·       NVH simulation software

·       NVH experimental methods

The event will open with institutional greetings from Emiliano Mucchi, Workshop coordinator and member of the IN4 Hub laboratory, Angela Princi, Manager of the Ferrara Technopole, Enrico Bracci, Vice Rector for the Third Mission, and Elisabetta Toschi, Representative of ART-ER. These will be followed by a series of technical presentations concluding in the afternoon.

The event offers an opportunity to explore technologies and methodologies that are transforming the way we design, monitor, and maintain complex mechanical systems, with a particular focus on sustainability, reliability, and predictive maintenance.

Thanks to the participation of universities, research centers, large companies, and technology providers, the workshop aims to be a point of reference for anyone interested in the NVH area (Noise, Vibration, Harshness).

The initiative will offer participants the opportunity to learn about concrete application cases, engage with industry experts, and identify new opportunities for collaboration and technology transfer.

The initiative is organized in collaboration with the University of Parma, the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, the Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna, and the University of Ferrara.
