INSIDE THE LAB:
a visit to the Terra&Acqua Tech Laboratory
April 8, 2026
On April 28, 2026, the Ferrara Technopole will open its doors for an event dedicated to exploring the research infrastructure of the Terra&Acqua Tech Laboratory.
The event, “INSIDE THE LAB: a visit to the Terra&Acqua Tech Laboratory,” offers a valuable opportunity for Unife students, research fellows, and PhD candidates to get a first-hand look at the technologies driving environmental and industrial innovation.
For young researchers and students, this visit serves as a direct bridge between their academic journey and the applied research ecosystem. It is an excellent opportunity to understand how theoretical expertise is transformed into concrete technological solutions, while fostering networking with industry professionals and opening new perspectives within the Emilia-Romagna High Technology Network.
The initiative is organised by the Ferrara Technopole, in collaboration with the Talent Hub of ART-ER and ER.GO, as part of a project aimed at making Emilia-Romagna a pole of attraction for highly specialised talent, while also supporting the development of services and opportunities for the growth of human capital.
The morning will offer an immersive journey through scientific excellence in fields crucial to sustainability and advanced technology:
Quality and Sustainability of Natural Resources & Agro-Environmental Valorization Labs: insights into natural resource management strategies and cutting-edge techniques for the protection and revitalization of agro-environmental heritage.
Environmental Sensing Labs: an introduction to the vanguard of applied physics in the development of sensors for environmental and industrial applications.
Sedimentology and Geochemistry Labs: a technical tour to observe live geomaterial processing and advanced scientific analysis.
The event begins at 09:45 AM at Via Luigi Borsari, 46, with guest reception and registration. The schedule is as follows:
10:00 AM – Introductory Session: presentation of the Technopole by Angela Princi, Manager of the Ferrara Technopole, and of the Terra&Acqua Tech Laboratory by Luisa Pasti, Scientific Director of the laboratory.
10:30 AM – Presentation of the Talent Hub and ER.GO: featuring Maria Giovanna Govoni (ART-ER representative) and Omar Paolucci (ER.GO) regarding opportunities for young talent in the Emilia-Romagna Region and student support services.
11:00 AM – Start of the guided tour: visits to the scientific laboratories in Via Borsari, followed by a move to Via Saragat. A free transfer service will be available to facilitate travel to the laboratories in Via Saragat, with return to Via Borsari scheduled for 1.15 pm.
