Researchers from Ferrara's Technopole at the European Researchers' Night
15 October 2025
On Friday 26 September, researchers from the Ferrara Technology Park enthusiastically took part in European Researchers' Night in Piazza Castello in Ferrara, an annual event that brings science to the people, transforming town squares into spaces for dialogue, discovery and sharing.
The initiative, promoted by the European Commission as part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, was an important opportunity to explain how the research conducted in the Tecnopolo laboratories contributes concretely to building a more sustainable and innovative future that is closer to the needs of society and businesses.
From energy transition to innovative materials
Lucrezia Manservigi from the IN4 Laboratory discussed energy transition, examining the current situation and the objectives set for the coming years.
Michele Bottarelli from the Teknehub Laboratory highlighted the importance of the relationship between research and industry, a strategic link for accelerating technology transfer and promoting the creation of innovative solutions capable of reaching the market.
Tatiana Chenet of the Terra&Acqua Tech Laboratory highlighted the circular economy, demonstrating how even marine waste can become valuable resources through valorization and reuse processes.
Finally, Rebecca Foschi took visitors on a fascinating journey into the field of 3D human tissue research, a rapidly developing field that opens up revolutionary prospects for regenerative medicine and biotechnology, a cornerstone of the Laboratory for Advanced Therapy Technologies (LTTA).
An evening to bring science closer to the public
The initiative was a success with both the public and participation.
The Tecnopolo, thanks to the contribution of its researchers, once again promoted scientific culture and innovation, serving as a strategic hub for connecting research and the local community.
A heartfelt thank you goes to all those who participated in the event and to the researchers who passionately shared their work.
